Kamembert 0.8 is the first build we are putting in front of everyone. It is a fast, native disk-usage analyzer: point it at a drive or folder and it maps every byte as an interactive sunburst, so the things worth your attention are simply the widest slices.
What is in this build
- The sunburst map. Each arc is a folder, sized to the space it uses. Click a wedge to drill in, click the middle to go back up.
- Duplicates. Find files and folders that exist more than once across all your drives at once, matched by name and size, then verified byte for byte before anything is removed.
- Compare. Line up two folders and see what is the same, what changed, and what only exists in one of them.
- Old and big. One click lists every file over 100 MB you have not touched in a year, biggest first.
Safe by default
Nothing is ever deleted automatically. Anything you remove goes to the Recycle Bin, and duplicate removals are checked in full first. Scanning and hashing run in the background, so the window never stalls.
