See what's eating your disk.
Point Kamembert at any drive or folder and it maps every byte as an interactive sunburst. Drill into the big folders, and clear out what you don't need without guessing.
Your whole drive, in one chart.
Each arc is a folder, sized to the space it uses. The scan runs on a background thread, so the chart fills in quickly and the window keeps responding.
- Click a wedge to go in, click the middle to go back up.
- Use the breadcrumb, or right-click a folder to open it in Explorer.
- Delete to the Recycle Bin when you find something to remove.
In French, a chart like this is called a camembert, not a sunburst. The wheel of wedges did the rest.
Five more ways to clear space.
Each one is a panel in the app, working on whatever folder you have open at the time.
Duplicates
Find files and folders that exist more than once, across all your drives at the same time. Kamembert matches them by name and size first, then reads every byte to confirm before it deletes anything. It can also flag folders that are nearly identical, at a similarity you set to 50, 70, or 90 percent.
Compare
Pick two folders and see what's identical, what differs, and what only exists in one of them. Worth a look before you merge two copies or delete the one you're not sure about.
Activity
Kamembert keeps a snapshot from each scan, so the next one shows what's new, what changed, and what's gone since last time. Lock a scan as the baseline if you want to measure against a fixed point.
Old & big
Lists every file over 100 MB you haven't opened in a year, biggest first, and adds up how much space they take. Usually where the forgotten installers, renders, and old backups turn up.
ProjectsAlpha
If you keep versions by copying folders, Kamembert reads Unity and Unreal version numbers, shows the copies as a revision graph, and can zip up the old ones to free space while keeping them around.
Quick, and careful with your files.
Native and Rust-fast
Written in Rust, not Electron. A whole drive scans in seconds, not the minutes other tools take.
Never makes you wait
Scanning and hashing run in the background, and your last scan reopens instantly from cache, so the window never stalls.
Safe by default
Deletes go to the Recycle Bin, and duplicates are checked byte for byte before anything is removed.
Private by design
Nothing leaves your machine. No account, no cloud, no telemetry.
Tiny footprint
One small executable. You download it and run it, there's no installer to sit through.
Portable core
Built in Rust on a portable core, so the same fast app can run across platforms.
Three steps to a cleaner drive.
Scan a drive
Choose a drive or folder and start. A whole drive takes seconds, not minutes, and it reads in the background so nothing locks up.
See the sunburst
The chart fills in as it goes. Bigger wedges mean bigger folders, and each one opens with a click.
Reclaim space
Send what you don't need to the Recycle Bin, checked byte for byte first. The free-space gauge moves as you go.
